For Frank Russell Recreation Area - Mark Twain Lake: Paved sites, all pretty level. Lots of space between sites. Lots of shade but trees have been well trimmed back from the road and campsites. Fishing Pond and Archery Range are really nice. Labor Day weekend was full but still a pretty quiet crowd. Only downside is the shower/toilet is really showing age and not terribly clean.

For Frank Russell Recreation Area - Mark Twain Lake: Absolutely huge multi-campground COE park. Pretty confusing about what's open and what's not, but the sites are nice and level and very well maintained. We found a nice section near the horse camp that's pretty much deserted. Across the dam is the main campground, where you're cheek-to-jowel with your neighbor -- but you have water and even a few with sewer. It's a beautiful October weekend, so it's been packed for two days. Now back to quiet time.

For Frank Russell Recreation Area - Mark Twain Lake: A nice COE park. The trees could make it rough coming in. Nice and quiet.
