For Nelson Reservoir - USBR: Sweet spot! Quiet! The camp sites are tree lined, huge and the lake shore is easy access from each site. Stopped here for the night - it really is free! There were picnic tables, fire rings with BBQ grill and vault toilets. It was hot and windy but that helped keep the bugs away some.... Watched cottontail bunnies, squirrels, robins, gulls and pelicans. There were some fishing boats on the lake, which the lake was bigger than I expected. If we are ever through this way again we will definitely be coming back here for a few days!!!
