For Eglin AFB FamCamp - Point: We pulled into postal point around 2:00 pm. The Camp host flagged us down and told us we were to early check in is at3:00pm and we would be charged an extra $20.00 Its quiet and peaceful on the point. Only water and electric and there is a dump station. Showers and laundry area was clean. When it rains there is flooding for a few days. $40.00 A night is a bit much for partial hook ups but we enjoyed our stay.

For Eglin AFB FamCamp - Point: $40 for one night for partial hookups seems a little steep, and beware if you think you may have to cancel. No refunds for deposits under $80$. Seems petty for a military rental.

For Eglin AFB FamCamp - Point: The directions to get here are HORRIBLE if you follow the GPS and the cops don’t help. Come in through the west gate and follow the directions to the bx/commissary NOT the sign that says famcamp. Once we finally got here it was ok. There was only 2 showers for female and one was broke the entire time we were there so it was frustrating having to wait on someone to take a shower. Laundry room only takes coins. Spot was good far enough away from the other person. Had full hookups this isn’t the camp on the water that one doesn’t have full hookup. Would stay again but it such a pain to get them on the phone to make an reservation.

For Eglin AFB FamCamp - Point: Great place, full elect, good water. Level grass sites. Dump station. Laundry and bath house, clean and serviced daily

For Eglin AFB FamCamp - Point: Wonderful location next to the water with large sites. Sites not well marked and when we arrived after rain site was muddy and we got stuck. Fortunately neighbor was able to pull us out the next day. I called the office to explain the situation and told they understand the situation no other assistance. Camp host could not be located. He did come by a few hours after our arrival and told us he would try and get someone to help us the next day.

For Eglin AFB FamCamp - Point: First of all, the guard at the East Gate did not kmow the locatin. 2nd, no base maps. 3rd no signs for FamCam.I called the office. The office girl knew her stuff and guided us to our site over the phone. For all the money the Air Force has for everything else, they have NOT spent a dime on this RV park. Lot # 108 had RUTS 3 different places. A Sprained Ankle just waiting to happen. Electric & Water only. Dump Station, Laundry & Restroom is just OK. Beautiful Sunrise over the water. The "Homesteaders" need to clean up their sites. Lots of traffic, so I know everyone knows the condition of this park. Site numbers cannot be seen from the RV. I had to get out and physically walk to read numbers on the post. The M.W.R. office is in a modern building, beach area is beautiful, but right around the corner is an unkempt Campground.

For Eglin AFB FamCamp - Point: Nice trails. Very clean overall. Sites are good. Activities can keep you busy meeting people. Like it.
