For Lake Alice - Sugarite Canyon State Park: Great little campground at Lake Alice. Make Reservations before you come. No cell service or wi-fi at the campground. Lake Alice Campground has EXCELLENT Hosts (James and Cheryl Ward), who are full of good information about how to enjoy the park. The other campgrounds are further up the canyon and on a rough dirt road. Plenty of birds and deer in the campground. Very peaceful and quiet here. The fishing in the lakes is excellent.

For Lake Alice - Sugarite Canyon State Park: There’s no Wi-Fi or cellular in the park and they can’t reserve you a spot at the visitor center so make a reservation before you get here.

For Lake Alice - Sugarite Canyon State Park: Sweet little campground with electric and water in a beautiful area. Small lake for fishing just across from the campground, larger lake up the road. Trails for hiking and interesting old coal town ruins to explore. Friendly, informative staff. Clean restrooms. Hot showers a mile away by visitors center. A discovered gem from folks who usually travel in Colorado and Utah. Pre season, walk in rate was only $10 in April!
