For Valley Of the Gods Rd: Just did a week of dry camping here .. great weather and views of the seven sailors .. this place is amazing . We love it here. Definitely will be back . Lots of camping sites . We did it in our 40 5th wheel . Didn’t go in to far because of not friendly roads for big units like ours . But plenty of places just in off the road, no big deal.. you won’t be disappointed..

For Valley Of the Gods Rd: Easy to find off the Highway. I stayed in the first large pull out about a 1/4 mile from hwy. Free, but not facilities.

For Valley Of the Gods Rd: Outstanding!! Agree with other reviews about entering from east side if you have a rig. The views were breathtaking!!!

For Valley Of the Gods Rd: We entered from the west side before the Moki Switchbacks. Scoped 2 miles in the Jeep and decided to park in a small area a couple hundred yards off the turnoff from 261. There’s a wash 1 ½ miles in that was a potential rear drag with our Class A motorhome. Next day we drove the length of Valley of the Gods Road. In retrospect I’d say the East entrance is more accessible for bigger rigs. If you don’t want to cross the wash shortly off 163, there’s room for several big coaches right off the hwy. otherwise , the first 4 miles from the east are good for most any rig with a ton of sites available. Back to the west side, first real spot is 2 ½ miles down, then another at 3 miles. Many more options from the East!

For Valley Of the Gods Rd: Wow, beautiful free camping. Enter off hwy 163 just east of Mexican Hat. There is a dry wash you have to go through right at the start but after that the road is quite good for at least 3 miles. We were all by ourselves for two nights in September.

For Valley Of the Gods Rd: Awesome boondocking!!! Have Fleetwood 37 foot class A pulling 16 foot enclosed trailer with full length of 55 feet. We had no problems on the dirt gravel road and multiple locations to boondocking our rig. We'll be back

For Valley Of the Gods Rd: We pull a 30' TT with a long bed crew cab and had no problems. We entered through the Bluff Utah entrance and were glad we did. The Mexican Hat entrance has a deep wash that we would not even try with our 30' TT. There are some blind hills and curves...nothing that a slow approach can't handle. I do not have the words to describe how otherworldly and stunningly beautiful this location is. There is not a bad camping spot or view anywhere. The campsites are not marked but they are obvious. Some are small but there are sites large enough for bigger rigs than ours. We saw every type of RV camped out. Several mornings we woke up and had a herd of cattle surrounding our TT...had to chase them away one morning when they thought our Dish TV cable was tasty...lol The cows are a common sight. There is so much good hiking and amazing views. Unfortunately zero 4G or cell phone (we have Verizon). It can get windy. We definitely plan on coming here again!
