For Little Axe - Lake Thunderbird State Park: Nice campground. Awesome tent sights with convenient toilets and showers. RV Spaces are a bit crowded. Stay away from #39…38 will set up 5 feet from your slide. Did not use the showers or bathrooms. Nice swim beach and playground for children.

For Little Axe - Lake Thunderbird State Park: Nice campground with cement pads . Most sites right on the water. Really not a bad site in this area of park. Only down side is the showers are terrible ! Shower heads spray everywhere except where you want! Other than tha, great place.

SSOKC

For Little Axe - Lake Thunderbird State Park: Camp sites are fine but can get crowded. Bathrooms are disgusting and broken most times. Broken doors, plumbing, and unclean. Visitors are notorious for leaving trash everywhere, including dumping trash on the beach. Could be pretty nice, but needs attention.

For Little Axe - Lake Thunderbird State Park: We camp here a few times each year. Recommend making reservations in the spring and summer on the weekends, but the place is wide open in the fall and winter. The campground is well maintained with friendly hosts and nice facilities. Our 32' Class C fits most sites and all have power and water. There are some tent only sites and a playground and beach. We will continue to go back.

Texas Soulman

For Little Axe - Lake Thunderbird State Park: The state park is divided into two locations on two sides of the lake. Be mindful of which area you have reservations before you plug it into your GPS. The little axe area is very scenic. We stayed in sight 006 and it has a huge grassy area and a level cement RV site. We also have lakefront with a nice sandy beach area. Many campers are able to leave their boat in the water overnight. We have a cement picnic table and fire pit. Nice big trees with plenty of shade but our rooftop solar still was able to charge. I would’ve given this site five stars if it had not been for the rowdiness of the crowd. I think it is common culture among Oklahoma state parks to play loud music and not worry about the noise level through the late night. I asked the park host and they said it’s expected to be quiet from 11 until 6 AM. But I did notice the last two nights music and laughter and campfire discussion being loud until 12 or one. But at least everything is nice and quiet in the morning :-)

Wulfleton

For Little Axe - Lake Thunderbird State Park: We stayed here in November 2015. This is a state park with RV and tent sites, as well as a day use area and swim beach. Price is $25 per night since all the sites are considered "premium" and there is an additional $5 per day fee if you have a second vehicle.
RV sites are 30 amps with water at each site. Dump station. In the capground, as well as restrooms and pay showers (the showers take quarters and o did not notice a change machine). The bathroons apear brand new. Campground hosts are located just outside the entrance. While the sites are VERY close together, they are level and all have picnic tables, and many of them are on the lake.
I'm guessing they don't lock the campground at night as there were locals driving around and drinking around a campfire around 3 am, but the day use area is not close to the RV area so the noise didn't bother us.
