For Pin Oak Loop - Lake Livingston State Park: I wish there was a 1/3 star option! The campsites are very close to each other...no privacy at all! From our bad luck we spent the memorial day weekend there and no need to say that the camp ground was full. The per person limit obviously was ignored for some campsites and the two camp sites within 10 feet from us were occupied by 3 families and almost 7 tents! There were 5-6 adults and almost 13-14 kids. They were literally passing our site every single minute to get to the bathrooms. Kids were all over and they were playing load music till 11:20 pm even with park Ranger warning them.

For Pin Oak Loop - Lake Livingston State Park: This is a beautiful State Park, but good luck getting a space. They a trying a new system where you can reserve individual campsites ahead of time. Whenever we try to reserve a spot nothing is available. I hope all these people are showing up. Since they only charge you for the first night I suspect many are reserved "Just in case." We don't even bother checking availability even though it is only 45 minutes from our house. Too bad. Used to be our favorite spot.

For Pin Oak Loop - Lake Livingston State Park: We love this park, but currently most of the RV sites are closed for renovations. Mosquitoes can be a problem (welcome to Texas). Lots of wildlife.
