For Sagebrush - Palo Duro Canyon State Park: An oasis in the desert. This is where the Comanche made their last stand and it is the second largest canyon in the U.S. (don’t get excited, it is still minuscule compared to the Grand Canyon and no where as deep as the Black Canyon of the Gunnison). Pretty cool history and geography. Roomy campsites with water and 50 amp electricity. We could get only one night as we traveled from South Dakota to winter on the gulf coast and wish we could have stayed for longer. Per previous reviews, there is no cell service. Weekends are busy and you need a reservation for even day use so plan ahead.

For Sagebrush - Palo Duro Canyon State Park: Enjoyed a relaxing 3 night stay over Labor Day. The park was sold out at a maximum 50% occupancy for COVID mitigation and we really enjoyed the extra space. We hiked all the trails and the kids tore up the camping loop with their bikes. At night we enjoyed the dark skies and Milky Way. Sites were level and included 30&50 Amp power and water. Dump station was just outside the entrance to the campground. Only downside was the amount of flies... there are horse stables about a 1/2 mile away and the flies were thick. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay, and we will likely return.

Victor

For Sagebrush - Palo Duro Canyon State Park: Beautiful park, great trails to hike, Sagebrush campground sites okay reason for the low rating because showers and bathrooms old and very dirty. Stayed a week and they were only cleaned once and that was half assed. Would stay further in at the Juniper campground next time if we comeback. Canyon nice little town.

For Sagebrush - Palo Duro Canyon State Park: We stayed in the Sagebrush campground. Paved Site was quite level with a picnic covered picnic table. The rest was primarily dirt, so after a rain, it would be unite muddy. Sites are pretty close, but not bad. Bathrooms are very old, but clean. We had one bar of ATT 4G. 10% grade with switchbacks to get down into the canyon. The Givens Spicer Lowery trail is beautiful.

Dalton

For Sagebrush - Palo Duro Canyon State Park: Park was ok. Awesome scenery. Nothing really to complain about except for the very hot temperature. Each day it was over 106 and very little wind. Our poor motorhome ac really worked hard. Restrooms were clean, good electricity and water services. No cell phone signal. All in all it was a good trip.
