For Meade City Park: Great free stop. The bathroom was heated and flush toilets. I saw another review about the bathroom. It seemed odd as there is stalls with locks. It is not super clean but good for a public bathroom Sites are not well marked. We parked near the bathroom and Boy Scout building I found a live outlet on the building. Would not work for large AC needs but allowed us to use and electric heater and charge some electronics. Would stay again

For Meade City Park: This was a nice park with a lot of grass and play areas. It wasn’t very busy (2-3 other campers) when we were there early September on a Wednesday. It did have bathrooms which we didn’t use. We didn’t see any designated RV areas, but some spots were clearly marked “No RVs”, so we took that to mean we could park anywhere else that would could find space. The reasons for not giving it 5 stars are the mosquitoes, we got eaten alive, and the traffic noise. For some reason, there seemed to be a lot of trucks and tractors all night long. Even with those two drawbacks, I almost gave it a 4 and maybe I’ll change it after I stop itching .

For Meade City Park: I was very happy to find this park. They offer free overnight parking for RVs. No hookups but it was a safe place to stop for the night after a long windy day of driving. They have a donation box by the bathrooms which I put some $ in because I was thankful for the free place to stop for the night. They also have a nice Christmas display for the holidays with lights throughout the park :)

For Meade City Park: For a free spot to camp, this is a great! There is an area designated for trailers/RVs that is gravel and easy to pull into. The bathrooms aren't the fanciest, but toilets flush and the sink works. Our kids loved the playgrounds! Basketball court, sand volleyball and picnic tables with grills scattered around the park. Looks like there is a pool too. We stayed 1 night on our way to NM. www.gheenadventure.com

Extending our weeken

For Meade City Park: Small city park that allows overnight camping. States no amenities but did have restrooms at one end of park and a central water hose. Did not use either. Very clean park, had several family's there and couples walking through the park on a Thursday evening, no problems whatsoever. Room for possibly 2 class A's or larger 5vers or maybe 3-4 smaller trailers or tents. Had a little truck noise from Hwy. Didn't bother us but might some especially if boondocking with windows open as we were. Nice little stop and would stay here again.

jump

For Meade City Park: Meade City Park - free overnight rv camping for about 4 RVs. Meade, KS was the home of the Dalton gang and their home is still standing and features a tunnel to a stable where they kept their horses. Tunnel was fairly long and supposedly used, if their home was surrounded, as a getaway tunnel. Also a city museum is interesting. Mens bathroom - no privacy - stool in middle of a large room - no lock on door.
Park is clean and quiet. No hook ups.
