For Spanish Oaks Campground: This is a very pretty site with immediate access to hiking, mountain biking, and fishing. Note: there are two lots for overnight - the lower is a fairly flat, open area next to a gun range with water and electric hook-ups. If you need sewer, there is another county park lot before you get to this one that offers sewer. (It’s also on All Stays). We stayed in the upper lot on the hill where there are no hook-ups but each site is well-paved with an additional concrete slab, picnic table and fire pit. The sites on the left of the hill going up have lovely views of the hills and trails. The bike paths are impressive and have a variety for all ages. I hiked two of the trails - very enjoyable. At the entrance of the park next to the lower camping lot is a reservoir stocked with fish and a man made beachfront. Everyday we saw people come in to enjoy jogging and fishing. There is also a small playground, picnic area and flush toilets. Not sure if the bathrooms are open all night. No wifi access and we had a light signal using a cell signal booster - otherwise we would not have had a signal (AT&T). Cost is terrific - $10/night in the upper lot. Great value. Pretty darn quiet.

For Spanish Oaks Campground: Great little campground. There’s two parts to the campground. Lower area next to the gun club and upper sites on the hill. I camped my van on the upper spots. Flat parking, fire pit, table. Great view of the mountains. Hiking and biking. Great little spot! Host at the bottom sites was very nice. Water was shut off but there’s central access in the lower area.

For Spanish Oaks Campground: This is an unusual campground. Basically an asphalt parking lot with marked back-in slots. Water and 30 amp service at the foot of most slots. Wooded park perimeter behind the slots with paths leading to the nice county park. Would be close quarters if full, but pulling in at 1830 on a Friday in July, it was only at 50% occupancy. Obviously not a destination resort, but a very good overnight stop. Some traffic noise, otherwise quiet and peaceful. Sites 9 and up have sufficient room such that we did not have to unhitch our 24' Airstream. Three stars for convenience and value.
