For Sharp Creek: My review is from the following perspective. My wife and I travel 6-7 months a year in a 45-foot Class A Motorhome towing a trailer for our car (72-foot total length rig). We’ve visited over 400 campgrounds, RV Parks in the last 10 years. Dry camping to resorts, we have done them all. Generally, I would say we are NOT campers. We are travelers looking for a site to base our adventures from in our rolling home (for maybe a 60-mile radius), so we are not big on RESORTS. Stayed here for a few days while exploring Payson AZ. While this is not the closest campground it certainly is well run by the host (Mika) and kept immaculately clean. It’s about 20 minutes to Payson and an easy drive. Actually, I can see why a lot of people come here to camp. It’s quiet, Clean, tall Pines, Easy access. About the sites. There are 3 loops with one for tents exclusively and the other two for RV’s, popups etc. The sites have varying lengths and some are double size driveways so you could park a extra car or other vehicle next to your Motorhome or Trailer. Most of the pull through sites have a medium to substantial curve to them. I tried two different sites and ended up backing out of the pull through because of the curve in the driveway but it was not a problem to back out of either one. Some sites have a substantial slope to the driveway but are still suitable for smaller rigs. Even though there are plenty of trees I had no trouble with my rooftop dish. Any Tailgater or Star link unit will have no problems. Generator times are 6am till 10pm. My iPhone 13 on Verizon had 3 bars and average speed. There had been some bear activity in the area when we visited but saw none and had no animal issues while there. Standard campsite had table, campfire ring. No electric, No water hookup, No sewer or dump station.

For Sharp Creek: Pulled in on a Friday afternoon in mid October. This place had a few walk in sites and we got one of two left. We backed our 35 foot fifth wheel into a spacious and private site (#26) and felt we got a little lucky. After driving around the area, we felt more so. The camp has a few loops, the last loop, Juniper is farthest from the road, and while There is a little road noise from 260 it is not bad at all. Camp hosts were helpful and friendly. We got great Verizon and ATT reception. This is dry camping, no dump station, but water spigots to fill your tank. I would come again for sure, it is close to Christopher Creek resort area, as well as about 23 miles out from Payson. A good place for dry camping, and with the Senior Access Pass, it was $13 a night. Otherwise the price is a bit steep at $26 for dry camping.
