For Campo City Park: Planned on staying and eating at the Ute little dinner in town. We pulled up to the camp area and found 4 tents set up in what looked like a homeless camp. Several men were sitting around a picnic table and we saw only one car. We decided to drive on. Very disappointing since the site says no tents!

For Campo City Park: Great little town. We are traveling with another couple and stopped for the night (Free). Was met by Bob who is a Pastor and Public Works person. He showed us a couple of great spots to park our large 5th Wheels. Our friends had a repair to do in theirs and Bob helped in any way he could. There is water available in the city park but may require extra hose. Bob told us to go to the Community Center right next to park and we filled our water tank. Very quiet and could hear trains in the distance. Did not go to it but little cafe in town looked very nice. We walked to the Post Office and visited there for awhile. Very nice people! We would definitely stay here again. We were heading to Trinidad, Colorado and were strongly advised to make sure gas/Deisel tanks were full before heading out because there is no place between to fuel up.

For Campo City Park: Lovely small town community park. As mentioned before, not suitable for tall rigs due to the arch of tree branches, but we fit just fine, and the branches provided plentiful shade on a hot summer day. Simple but clean bathrooms, charcoal grills, tables, playground, water faucets all close by. Train tracks not far away- we heard a couple of trains during the evening.

Extending our weeken

For Campo City Park: Seemed to be a well kept city park, far enough off hwy to be fairly quiet at night I would think. very near school so might be busy area when school in session. More like parking for 3 larger rigs, can't see 6! We drove though only, tree branches were too low for us to pull under and get over far enough for others to pull by. Very shady, would have stayed overnight if we were smaller. 36' mh with toad. 12'6 tall. Actually broke our flag light just pulling through ??
