For Base Camp Family Campground: Sites are huge! Email communication for checkin was great and the WIFI was phenomenal, all campgrounds should have WIFI like this at this time, it is crucial!

For Base Camp Family Campground: Awesome RV park! We stayed here for a night while we visited the great sand dunes. The park and facilities were very clean and well kept. The park was quite and had some amazing views of the mountains! Staff was very nice and I would definitely stay again.

For Base Camp Family Campground: Huge sites. State-of-the-art use of their great website for evaluation and reservations followed by well-written e-mails and texts with instructions. Every park should use the internet like this. Clean. New. Close to GSDNP. No frills but all of the essentials are done right.

For Base Camp Family Campground: Technically we didn’t stay at this campground. We actually spent two nights in their overflow parking, which was perfect for us! The cool thing was, they only charged us $10.79 per night and they still allowed us to use all their amenities. We only had to wait for a spot to open up each morning and then we could pull in and empty our black tank and fill our fresh water. Their bathroom/laundry facility was immaculate! The only drawback was there was only one washer and dryer. Not a big deal! This campground is very plain. No trees, but you can see mountains in every direction. The camp hosts were very friendly and accommodating. It was only a 30 minute +/- drive to the Dunes, which are amazing!

For Base Camp Family Campground: Very nice camp ground. Stayed for 3 months in the winter night time temps reached-30 degrees and the water never froze. Shower house was kept extremely clean. Very nice host. Looking forward to staying with them again.

For Base Camp Family Campground: We were not even planning to stay here. However, we broke down just a mile from Base Camp and were able to limp our RV into their parking lot. The crew at the campground were the best! Even though all the sites were taken, they allowed us to stay overnight in the parking lot. They even gave us the gate code and Wi-Fi password which was super helpful because our cell service was non-existent and we needed to communicate with roadside assistance and the repair facility that we needed to tow the vehicle to. This is a great campsite with closest access to the Great Sand Dunes National Monument. Everything is clean and well maintained. The showers were the best and cleanest campground showers I have ever been to. For sure, we will be coming back here the next time we are in Southeast Colorado...and you should too! Thank you, Basecamp!

For Base Camp Family Campground: New park it is a work in progress. Great location very easy in and out. No check in required you will know before you get where your slot is. Large lots with no trees but they are going to make this a great place. Would camp here again.
