For Gypsum Eagle River: This is a great overnight stop. Pros are the campground is located on the Eagle River. They are large sites and mostly private. The campground is dry camping only so make sure you have water with you. The road and the sites are gravel. There are picnic tables and fire rings on each site. Its first come first serve. There is a c Costco just minutes away in the town of Gypsum. Cons no shade and lots of fine dirt. Overall great place.

For Gypsum Eagle River: We were planning a stopover here on our drive along I-70. It was pretty trashed, no shade. Decided not to stay after seeing it and headed to wolcott campground which was a GREAT option.

For Gypsum Eagle River: Traveling from Arches to Boulder and decided to stop here on a Friday night mid October. You hear road noise but that’s preferable to rowdy campers when it’s time to sleep as far as I’m concerned. 2 travel trailers when we driver near sunset. I saw 8 sites total. $10 a night and there is a dumpster fir trash. Didn’t try the restroom so no comment on that.

For Gypsum Eagle River: Great spot traveling on I-70 from Rocky Mountain National Park West. Took about five hours in a 30 ft class A with tow. Right off I-70. Called BLM and they said there are usually spots. There were two travel trailers and two camper vans there. We drove up the hill to get the best view of the river below. The scenery is very nice, however you do get some traffic noise. I always have earplugs available and that solves that! For the price ($10) couldn’t beat it. Would give five stars but no hookups and the traffic noise took it down a star.
