For Walter Umphreys State Park: Kind of a weird set up. The park is on the water, noise from the refinery stacks, burning off excess fuel is a bit annoying. we just took a chance and just parked overnight , no one was here and no one returned my call from the county office. Looks to be full time workers living here from the refinery. It was cold and dreary so we never used the waterfront, people were fishing though. Full hookups including 50amp. A good place to get some rest when traveling. It may be different in the warmer months

For Walter Umphreys State Park: Enjoyed one of the full hookup sites for a couple days (including dump which isn’t listed here). Phone on the rules sign goes to a county office, they gave me the number to the host (which they say changes too often to post). Had no issues staying where we had backed in. $$$. $23 per night. Saw a camper in adjacent field spend the night. Based on other recent review, sounds like they don’t bother you there. Very quiet night. Friendly check in staff who comes in the am. No entry fees or office onsite.

For Walter Umphreys State Park: Stayed here late Jan 2019. The campground is a paved area within a county park. They do have electric and water, however we arrived on a Saturday around 3 pm and could find no way to check in. The phone numbers were not answered. We opted to dry camp in the park adjacent to the water where two other campers were. Clean, quiet, no facilities. I’d suggest calling during business hours to stay at the hookup area.
