For La Porte County Fairgrounds: 5 stars for service! Kurt was awesome- met us at the fairgrounds after dark and got us all registered. Paved roads lead you into a quiet, lparge, grassy, empty field (beginning of Septp) with full hookups but no other amenities. (No bathrooms, dump stations, or dumpster)but we just needed a place to sleep heading east. $40 plus tax was higher than we paid at another fairground campground but it worked for us.

For La Porte County Fairgrounds: Very lovely, green, flat campgrounds on the west side of the fairgrounds. Full hookups. 100 spaces, only 3 occupied when we were here in late June 2021. Check the fair schedule- apparently completely full during fair times. Quite a nice town too. We took Highway 20, which parallels 80, as soon as we could from Cleveland travelling west, and that is a much nicer route than staying on 80. Would definitely recommend. Some of the sewer drains are high out of ground, so you have to drive around to pick one that’s low enough for your rig. Also, some spots are only 50amp, but the newer posts are 50/30.
