For Palisade Basecamp RV Resort: We stayed for two weeks in a back-in site that overlooked the river. We very much enjoyed the scenery around us and the quiet, except the train twice a day which didn’t really bother us. The sites are big which is nice for our 40’ coach. The laundry and showers were the nicest we have seen. The pool opened the day before we left so we didn’t have a chance to use it. A few things that would improve the park is a speed limit with posted signs, sprinklers that don’t hit your coach, cement pads on all sites and more care when mowing so rocks are not thrown on your coach. Since we were in back-in site 6, just about everyone who came into the park went past our coach. I think some thought it was a racetrack and it created a lot of dust. The sprinklers covered our coach with water spots. The manager tried to adjust them but when the wind blew the water would hit the coach. It seems all the sites would have cement patios to help avoid tracking dirt and gravel into your coach and make it generally more comfortable. Because the sites are rock, dirt and grass/weeds the guy who ran the lawnmower had to be told more than once by my husband not to throw rocks and debris on our coach. If some of these issues are addressed we would stay again.

For Palisade Basecamp RV Resort: Beautiful setting in vineyards and peach orchards on the Colorado river. Brand new park so still working on a few things. Super friendly accommodating staff. Large sites. We are on our 3rd stay here and will always stay here when in the Grand Junction area.

For Palisade Basecamp RV Resort: Wow- what a gem! Located in the heart of Colorado’s wine country, with vineyards and orchards surrounding the campground, this is truly one-of-a-kind camping! The views are stunning, the staff is very friendly, the shower/bathroom facilities are top notch, and there is even access to the Colorado River! Our only regret is that we didn’t book a longer stay... can’t wait to visit again!

Robert

For Palisade Basecamp RV Resort: Nice campground but only a few sites have picnic tables and none of the sites have fire rings. Only the premium pull thru sites have a concrete pad for sitting area. All of the sites were like crushed asphalt/gravel for parking. As of our visit, the pool and dog park were not completed. The shower house/laundry was excellent! Very clean and nice inside. Would come back again but in a cooler month.

For Palisade Basecamp RV Resort: Ok park, location was great. Park was is not yet finished. Is very quite, but all gravel roads and gravel sites. 68 dollars for a gravel site with concrete pad a bit steep. Our site 32 was a pull through, but all pull throughs are not long enough for our 40 foot class A and tow. Had to disconnect the tow To stay within out site. Hook ups also in a bad location on all sites, were too far to the back of sites for larger class As. With all that WE Would stay again

For Palisade Basecamp RV Resort: Absolutely beautiful! Stopped here as we were passing through- didn’t know anything about the park. So glad we did! Gorgeous, pristine park with beautiful beautifully clean bathrooms! Surrounded by beautiful mountains, peach orchards and vineyards alongside the Colorado River. We sat by the river drinking wine looking at the horses on the other side- against the beautiful mountain backdrop! Definitely recommend - loved it!!
