For Bay View Campground: No frills, no hook-ups but tough to beat the location and gorgeous view. Sure, it’s a parking lot masquerading as an RV park but we enjoyed our stay. Tiny base with a terrific fitness facility and marina with aquatic gear rentals. Be prepared for noise, however as San Diego Intl and flight operations from nearby North Island translate to imperfect sleep for those noise-sensitive. Pack your ear plugs. I will be back, though my wife might not.

For Bay View Campground: This is a great place to stay if you have a set up that accommodates dry camping. There are bathroom/showers available that are surprisingly clean and the views area great. Located close to so much of what San Diego had to offer.

For Bay View Campground: This is a great location to dry camp, no hookup. At this time the procedure is to email staff with camping dates. They will email you back with what is available. However, you can not have a guest, they say because it is on a military base. I explained to them that I have had guest at the camping facilities at Camp Pendleton. Crickets, no comment.

For Bay View Campground: This is a great,Inexpensive campground (parking lot) on San Diego bay. No hookups but they have shower and bathroom facilities at the marina. FANTASTIC VIEW. Entry is easy but looks difficult, it's a mind game. I'm 58' total length and had no problem. Plans are being drawn up to put in elec and water...never will be sewer. Will stay here again.
