An absolute gem between kerriville and junction. Although the interstate is near by, the serene atmosphere of this campground makes it feel tucked away. We will definitely make this our go to for future travels between El Paso and San Antonio. Gravel lots (little leveling required) Clean bathrooms (single) No Wi-Fi but we scanned for channels and got a decent selection that was very clear. Friendly and helpful staff. We arrived after dark and he stayed on the phone to guide us to our spot. T-mobile reception was great. Love all the wildlife living I the refuge.

Chose Cowboys and Angels for an overnight stop. Was met at the gate by the Ranch Manager and escorted to our chosen site, a long pull thru. The camp is well off the freeway and was surprisingly quiet. There is a small herd of native deer in the park that are fed by the park. We enjoyed our brief stay and will be back.

Peaceful and serene. The pull through sites are long. The back in sites have trees and back up to the deer refuge. It’s a high fenced, gated community. There are cute cabins to rent, a chapel for weddings, a pavilion for cookouts, a fire pit for s’mores, hot tub, pool, and lots of beautiful deer. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. This a must stop and relax!
