For BLM Tonopah: A little too close to the highway for my preference, but the traffic noise is really not too bad. Gas station and grocery store walkable, which is nice. Some of it is very loose gravel, enough to spin tires when trying to pull my rig up onto the levelers. Surrounding terrain causes a bit of an optical illusion -- it _looks_ like you're on kind of a steep hill, but it's actually pretty close to level.

For BLM Tonopah: Very nice. Immediately outside of town, and a few hundred yards from US 95, but very quiet. A good place to stop for the night.

For BLM Tonopah: Nice spot just south of town. Like others have said, turn is just below BLM Office. After the turn, when the road splits into 3, don't go to the rightmost as there is a ditch. We made it through with our 34' travel trailer but scraped some of the dirt/rocks. Lots of spots off to the right parallel to the unpaved road. There were about 10-12 RV's there when we stayed. The road is wide but after about 1/2 mile it narrows so if you're big, turn around before. I didn't walk down the road once it narrowed to see what is down there. We were only staying 1 night and didn't need to disconnect our travel trailer as our spot was level.

For BLM Tonopah: Very basic, a wide spot in the road. However, cell signal is excellent. We stayed 1 night in a 36’ coach. You have to go up the rise/hill to get to most of the area. We had no problem turning around. There were a number of rigs here, some quite large, and several were clearly staying for more than 1-2 nights. It felt very safe and people were friendly. Scenery is beautiful, if barren.

Chris

For BLM Tonopah: Stayed one night. On next trip through will stay longer. Good place to stop and walk back to town to do the tourist wander. Great stars. Good vistas. Nice breeze. Really cools down when the sun goes behind the hill right next to town. Good dry camp spot.

Dan

For BLM Tonopah: Free camping on a wide hard packed, relatively level gravel road that turns off 95 just south of the BLM office. I was easily able to make a U-turn even w a tow car behind. Entrance almost immediately across from Texaco. Large hill blocks noise from 95 about 500 meters away. Convenient to town for groceries & restaurants. No shade, etc.
