For Belle Bluff Island Campground: It’s a lovely campground with gorgeous views over the river. I just noticed their website isn’t listed above. It’s Bellebluff.com. You can book direct on their website Oh you can bring your kayak for the river too!

For Belle Bluff Island Campground: This is a no-frills off the beaten path campground, but the location can't be beat. The owner Ron is friendly and helpful. It is quiet and peaceful, and we had no issues with any of the other RVers. The campground is all dirt and seashell roads. Our site was level and we had room to park next to our camper as long as no one else was put in the site next to us. There's no picnic tables or fire rings, no pool, hot tub, laundry facilities, or gameroom. There's no gate or security, none seems to be needed. The spaces are close together, but the park wasn't full while we were there for two weeks during March/Spring Break, and many were spread out with empty sites in between. There seemed to be several water and/or sewer issues while we were there. I'm still not sure whether we were in site 22, 23, or 24. Our electric was plugged into 24, we were parked in front of the site 23 sign, and our sewer was plugged into site 22, or it was all vice-versa...I'm not sure. It was weird. The first morning after our arrival, the water to the park was turned off. When I called the park number, Ron said he didn't want to call everyone to tell them it would be off for a short time. True to his word, it was back on in 30 minutes. Twice we saw someone working on/cleaning out the sewage. It kept getting full or something. Lots of activity with that. My husband had literally just purchased a new water filter before we arrived at this campground. By the time we left two weeks later, our water was barely streaming into the toilet bowl. The park has very low water pressure anyway, so we thought it was just that. However, when we got to our new campsite today in Charleston, SC, we noticed that the brand new filter from two weeks ago was completely clogged. My husband put another brand new one on today and our water is coming into the toilet at the expected higher rate now. There are some water issues at this RV park, but we had fun, enjoyed the gorgeous views and sunsets, learned a lot about high and low tide just by watching it daily, and would stay here again. We never used the bath house, but the women's restroom and shower that I saw were sufficient and clean. I would not call them safe and secure. It would be easy for anyone to walk in there while someone is showering. There's an older RV that has been made into an interesting Airbnb on the property. It has an added living area, patio, and cute interior design. I'm not sure what the price would be for a week or whatever, but it was cute. Everyone we met at this campground was friendly and very chill. No one seemed to be working while they were here. All were on vacation, just passing through, visiting nearby family, etc. Life is slow here, just like we like it. We recommend eating at nearby Altman's. The shrimp was delicious. Piggly Wiggly had everything we needed in a grocery store. Both the Eulonia laundromat, and the King's Laundromat in Darien, are dumps. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Regarding wifi and phone reception - we use a dedicated device - ATT phone hotspot and had great service the whole time. The only reason I'm taking off one star is because of all the water issues. For Belle Bluff Island Campground: Perfect place to stay with a gorgeous river view, very serene. Sites and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The host was very accommodating. Was a 50 min. drive to Savannah, 25 min. from Sapelo Island SP and very close to the cutest and smallest church in America. Great location and the WiFi was A+. Stayed for 5 days.

For Belle Bluff Island Campground: SCAM!!!! DO NOT CAMP HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! From the very beginning of communication my husband and I said we were looking to stay for a month’s time. The price quote we were given by the owner himself was $800. That is a steep price tag for a campground, but due to the photos and the location being close to our land, we decided to go ahead with this campground. Through text, Ron- the owner, said that we were to pull into a spot right along the river (again, already having stated several times that we were monthly). Ron was out of town when we arrived at the campground. So the day he came back, he told us that he was actually going to move us to another ‘part’ of the campground, he said we’d probably like it much better- again, still for the $800!!!! Where he took us was more like a rundown trailer park- no view except for a trashed camper, the place was filled with abandoned trailers left behind by old tenants, GLASS all around the ground (we have dogs, so this is absolutely unacceptable). He told us to consider when we wanted to move to this .... hole, and that if we wanted to stay- WHERE WE HAD ORIGINALLY BEEN TOLD WAS THE $800/ month FEE- THAT IT WOULD ACTUALLY BE ANOTHER $200 ON TOP!!!! $1000 A MONTH FOR WHAT WAS ADVERTISED FROM THE BEGINNING AS $800 (ALL the other campgrounds in the area are $500!!!!). RON IS A ........ WHEN I WROTE HIM TO SAY, SORRY BUT THE PRICE IS TOO STEEP TO BE STAYING FOR ONE MONTH IN OUR CAMPER, AND THE PLACE HE WAS TRYING TO PUT US WAS A COMPLETE DOWNGRADE, DEFINITELY NOT WORTH EVEN $500, LET ALONE $800. RON RESPONDED THAT HE’D TAKE THE NIGHTLY OUT, THEN =$50/ NIGHT, RATHER THAN, AGAIN, WHAT’S ADVERTISED AS THE $45. RON IS ...... UNHELPFUL ,AND I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND GOING ELSEWHERE FOR AN ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE.
