For KOA Journey Rock Springs: Clean, safe pull-through spots with full hook ups. Nice wooden barriers between sites for added privacy. Friendly staff. Nice, fenced dog run area with grass for our puppy. Poop bags fully stocked but unfortunately not everyone is considerate and picks up after their pet. This is an all gravel campground. Spots are not fully level so be prepared. New evergreens have been planted. We didn’t use any of the facilities, but laundry and restrooms and showers were available. We arrived late and our reservation was posted at the office door with an excellent map to our spot. We will definitely stop again in our travels.

Moira

For KOA Journey Rock Springs: This is a campground built on gravel but there are views of the colored hills behind. So I would say it is a unique geology there. Even though it's close to I-80, it was pretty quiet considering. We had full hookups and they worked perfectly. The staff was very friendly. Good store as well. We used laundry and bathrooms, very clean. I recommend a drive to Flaming Gorge Dam (91 mile circle around the lake) but can go just 10 miles to first overlook.

For KOA Journey Rock Springs: The staff was great. If given a choice I will always stay in a KOA that has a K9 Kamp - off leash area for dogs. This does have such a fenced in area for our 1 year labradoodle, in fact the best one I’ve seen. Lack of gravel appears to be something they are working on. Well stocked store. Easy in/out. WIFI seems better than most. Good cable. We will be back here.

For KOA Journey Rock Springs: We stayed for a week, and honestly can say that this is a nice KOA. Relatively level sites, host guided us to our site and everything worked. Internet, cable tv and clean facilities. Having stayed at a variety of KOA’s I find this is a great value for the price. I can see why others might complain about wet conditions, but I have no problem with rain. Consider this spot on your travels

HulstromPartyof5

For KOA Journey Rock Springs: We stopped for 2 nights on our way west. Luckily it was dry, as the gravel and dirt campground would be very muddy and challenging in the rain. Short-term spots were tight and unclearly defined. Playground and pool were a hit with our kids. Mostly friendly staff.

Poyot

For KOA Journey Rock Springs: Not the nicest of campgrounds. It is one big gravel field.
