For Dauphin Island Park: Pros- Shaded sites with an easy walk to a dog friendly beach, bird sanctuary, & ferry. Staff friendly & helpful. Nice bathrooms and showers. Price is good for easy beach access and nature trails. Cons-some sites more difficult for sewer hookup, limited privacy, but we find it common in parks on or near a beach. Very disturbed by the stray cats who live at the park, especially since it’s next door to an Audubon bird Sanctuary. We go every year as part of a gulf trip & have recommended park to friends.

For Dauphin Island Park: We stayed here for 10 days in March and loved it It is tight but, you’re on an island. Amenities worked great. The beach here is great and you can easily walk to it. The ferry to Fort Morgan is directly across the street and that’s a lot of fun. A large bird sanctuary adjoins the campground and it’s a wonderful stroll in the mornings to catch some of the migrating birds. There’s a gator in the lake there as well. Quick tip …if you need Mobile RV repair we used Tony at DD On-site Repair. Couldn’t be happier with the 2 jobs he did for us

For Dauphin Island Park: Agree with others: sites are tight but doable. Good number of big rigs here. We had site 14: level full hook up and shade for ~$40/night. 4 stars because of the beautiful beach a short walk. January’22 west end of the island is still closed with on-going hurricane repairs.

For Dauphin Island Park: Older park with narrow roads. Some sites are not suitable if it’s rained. Larger sites are hard to get. Reservations sometimes difficult to get and they don’t really assign a site till you get there. Close to bay, ferry and bird sanctuary. Great fish market in town, but few restaurants worth your time/money.

For Dauphin Island Park: Park is ok, if you can get a reservation. Senior discount only for monthly renters (??) Lady at desk said some rules don’t apply to monthly renters (???). Boats, junk, cabanas, more than two vehicles, etc. Stayed here for beach, which is great!!

AG

For Dauphin Island Park: Older park, takes a bit of maneuvering to get situated. Immaculate toilets and laundry. Walk to ocean and bird sanctuary. Across from ferry lands and coast guard station, so some day time traffic. Accommodated for a week on short notice.
