Easterday

For Gunter Hill: Great campground. Has nice clean bathrooms and showers, good dump station and dumpster for trash. We stayed in site 117, not the most level but good enough to not need extra blocks. The hosts were great and very friendly. Got nice and quiet after 10pm so no complaints there either. We have a 36' class A and pull a Jeep Wrangler. We spent the days seeing the sights like the Hank Williams Musuem and grave site, the Bamboo Forest and the Orr Park faces.

JC

For Gunter Hill: This is perhaps the most picturesque COE park we have enjoyed in the mid south. Site 25 on the river. All sites in this loop,Catoma, are wooded, paved level driveway, widely spaced. There are several huge pull thru. There isn’t an unfavorable site to be found. Full hookups for the senior discount of $15.

FabulousA

For Gunter Hill: Thanks for the big rig route in your 2013 review Moonrover! I-65 south to US 80 toward Selma, then 17 was perfect! Instead of three RR crossings that the map app wanted, there was only one, and it was flat. Nice and quiet campground. One camper had Christmas lights that kept strobing, but it was far enough away not to matter, since we just wanted to sleep and not sit out by the fire. Most disconcerting was the pack of dogs that ran through in the morning. Otherwise we had a pleasant overnight. Antenna TV was great at site 72, and the dish actually found the sats, AT&T was very weak. The site had a 60' max, but it was actually a tad tight for a 43' with towed. Upon leaving, we went the wrong way at the entrance because of the tight turn and golf carts parked in the outermost exit lane. But the friendly hosts were okay with that.

For Gunter Hill: March 2022 - 22 ft Airstream Stayed in old section at site 102 . Beautiful level long gravel drive site with the lake as our backyard. Had Water and electric. The new section has full hookup with level concrete but noted some drainage issues near several dump portals. Nice camp ground but observed a lot of litter.

BB

For Gunter Hill: Love Gunter Hill COE park. Catoma section is great with level concrete pads with plenty of spacing and full hook ups! We've stayed here twice now and it's one of our favorites.

Steve Sharman

For Gunter Hill: Spent new year’s weekend here. Cold but roomy. Easy in lots with lots of space between. Bath house clean and spacious . A little out of the way, but worth the drive! If this were privately owned, there would be three times as many lots crammed in.
