For Ancient Cedars Mesa Cedars RV Park: Wanted to love this RV Park because the staff are wonderful and super nice but were disappointed by a few things. First let me say the park is clean and restrooms/showers really clean. We stayed 4 nights and met up with a large group of our family, 13 total people. Called about a month in advance to reserve and chose this park because of location to Mesa Verde entrance, heated swimming pool, hot tubs and playground. We had our 31 foot tow behind and 2 tents. Our spots were right next to each other as promised and gorgeous. Well put together with gravel pads and picnic tables. We were in 72 with our rig. They had just put in electrical and water and are expanding it to more sites. However, the pool was frigid and definitely not heated. It was so cold the kids didn’t want to get in it for any length of time even with the daytime high temps. The hot tubs were so dirty and smelled there was no way we’d get in it. I asked about hot tubs getting cleaned and they said they were trying...they never were clean the 4 nights we were there and were told pool heater was broken. The playground wasn’t fabulous and a bit run down but the kids didn’t care, so totally cool with me. Because the pool and hot tub were main reasons we wanted to stay at the resort besides location, I have to take off 2 stars. With the price per night being what it is and paying extra for each person, I expect the amenities advertised to be working or notify reservation holders so they are informed and can choose different location if desired or offer discounts. They said the resort had been recently purchased by new owners, so hopping they can fix some of the issues, because otherwise a great option for when visiting Mesa Verde. However, I will call in advance about hot tub and pool before booking again.

For Ancient Cedars Mesa Cedars RV Park: Reasonable price (< $40/nt) and location is great for Mesa Verde visit. Close sites. Kind of a mess. Half-hearted ‘dog park’, bare bones playground but very friendly and helpful staff.

For Ancient Cedars Mesa Cedars RV Park: Perfect location - you can see the national park landscape and the visitor center is 200 yards away. Both Mancos and Cortez are 10 minutes away with all the town things one could want. In the whole region, not just at this park, Verizon was extremely slow. I had two bars of LTE at the rv park. The pool was closed for the winter when I was there but one hot tub was open and they have a very nice mini golf course. The washer/drivers are slightly more expensive than usual ($2.00 to wash) but also higher quality equipment than usual.

For Ancient Cedars Mesa Cedars RV Park: This is a wonderful RV Park just outside Mesa Verde National Park! The feel is rural rustic, gravel sites, nice hosts! Saw deer in the field and the stars will take your breath away! Will definitely stay here again! Stayed 2 nites!

For Ancient Cedars Mesa Cedars RV Park: Campground is perfect for visiting Mesa Verde National Park. We are a big rig and these sites are close together but no problem getting around the park. Being in the back row are wi-fi and OTA tv channels were terrible.

For Ancient Cedars Mesa Cedars RV Park: There are horses adjacent to the campground. With horses come flies. Otherwise this is a nice campground. Just felt we couldn't sit outside and enjoy the weather.
