For Ancient Cedars Mesa Cedars RV Park: Our main concern when we called three days ago was for a level site with full hookups and perhaps a discounted rate with all the clubs etc we belong to. Carol was very accommodating over the phone. Told us she had level sites, would give us a "double" discount on the rate (love her wit) and we could have full hookups the first night but would have to move the second night to water/electric only. All provided, as promised.
Ancient Cedars is beautiful in a down-to-earth clean way. Love the yellow steps down to the laundry. Great safety and looks nice. Grassy areas around to walk our little Doxie who has a bad leg and can't tolerate gravel and is very timid. Also a dog park area, as mentioned in other reviews.
There is a larger black furry dog next to us, leashed outside its camper with the owners inside. He does bark every now and then, as dogs will, but not a problem because our Doxie is deaf enough not to hear him. If there were a problem, causing our dog to act out from the barking, then I might say something to the owners, Dale or Carol, but not necessary. The barking is totally minimal. He's a fairly big dog and the camper is smaller.
All in all--upkeep and beauty of the campground is seen in its natural setting and also from the hard work of the owners. We really appreciate your care in maintaining the property from the biggest objects to the tiniest flower.
Also, our T-Mobile and AT&T service worked. We did not use the Tengo WiFi service at Ancient Cedars. Happy ? Campers! Perfect location for visiting Mesa Verde Narional Park.

For Ancient Cedars Mesa Cedars RV Park: New owners since July 2014 have taken HUGE steps in upgrading this park and it shows everywhere!
This is a family owned resort (not a national chain) and the owners made me feel as though I was part of the family. Everything from helping me with my motorhome to inviting me to dinner twice during my stay (2 weeks, then came back for a month because I felt so comfortable). The personal touch applied by Dale and Carol and their helpers(Bud and Gary) made my stay VERY enjoyable! It was the perfect place to reunite with my brother after not seeing him for 10 years. The amenities of this resort are TOP NOTCH and spotless!
Visitors to this park that DO NOT TRY bending/breaking the rules for their own benefit will TOTALLY ENJOY their stay here.
I WILL RETURN! Thanks for everything Ancient Cedars!

For Ancient Cedars Mesa Cedars RV Park: A very nice park, and very well run. Sites are a tad close but not claustrophobic; lots of trees on sites in lower section where we stayed (despite being in a 38' rig!). The rear section where most big rigs are has no trees, and we much preferred the lower location.
WiFi was good, power stable, staff super friendly. Dog park area could be improved upon but has all of the basics and is large at 1/2 acre.
We would stay here again and do plan to return!

For Ancient Cedars Mesa Cedars RV Park: This was our second stay here. Liked it better. Hot private showers but must drive up to store. Free. Internet at all sites but we couldnt get phone reception
Stayed in early October and electric water sewer sites were all reserved. Do call ahead...no additional charge. Golden age cuts fee in half. Had a relatively private site.

Management Response: Audrey from Michigan. I do believe that you must have the wrong RV Park. Only the National Park does Golden Age rates.
Jane from Tampa. Our park is very large on 12 acres.
Some don't realize that fact. If you felt you were being watched, we sincerely apologize. We do have to do security and maybe it was your neighbors. Our dump and water prices start at $5.00
Yodelers from MS. This park was purchased by new owners June 2014 and a new name. Come back and camp longer for a great experience.
Thank you all, Carol

For Ancient Cedars Mesa Cedars RV Park: Clean and welcoming. Great spot if you plan to visit Mesa verde. You go to sleep looking at it. Laundry and dish cleaning area is very clean. Fenced dog run and clean bathrooms. $34 for hook up or $10 for dump and water only. Owners were nice but kinda made you feel like you were being watched. It is a smaller park and has some highway noise as well as some tree branches needed trimming.
