For KOA Journey Forsyth: I gave it one star because the new owners were very friendly . NOT big rig friendly !!! Tried several sites could not level up! Very tight and lots of pit holes in the very narrow roads. Trees uncut scratches on side or rig.

For KOA Journey Forsyth: The closest place we could get to Atlanta and was good. Our site was level but the 30 amp circuit did not stay on. They came to fix it without a new breaker and moved us to the 50amp circuit instead. Quiet and adequate

For KOA Journey Forsyth: Great park, very friendly and helpful staff too! Bathrooms are extremely clean. We pulled in for an overnight stop on our way north. We will be stopping again in the future! Book ahead though, as they were full last night.

For KOA Journey Forsyth: Great place to overnight. We spent one night in our 41’ fifth wheel in the interior of the park. We didn’t notice road noise. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Plenty of places for dog walks. I will definitely stay again while traveling through.

For KOA Journey Forsyth: Overall it was a nice place. Friendly folks, cookies for free, great pizza made to order. The negatives are it’s so close to highway that it is very loud, at least in the front part of the park. It didn’t have much grass, lots of trees and lots of rocks, which was hard for the dog—though they did have a nice dog area and adjacent grass area. The bathhouse could use some upgrading for sure. Mostly level sites. I would really give it a 3.5

For KOA Journey Forsyth: Stayed Sept. 2020 The staff were very friendly and helpful. And the warm chocolate chip cookies they brought us were wonderful. The park was ok, depending on what your purpose for being there is. There are kind of 2 levels of the park. An upper level, which is shady and filled with trees along with what appeared to be many longer-term folks. The lower level is barren. No trees or shade and the sites are pretty close together. This seems to be the place where overnighters or short stay folks are parked. We were there for 2 nights. Sites were gravel and level but tiered down the hill. Which means that there is very nearly no room at all to put out chairs. You have to put them either in front of or behind your RV. The bathrooms were VERY clean and had good showerheads, and were air-conditioned. All in all, not bad for a day or so, again depending on your purpose for being there. Oh, and basically no useful wifi or cell service if you use Verizon.

For KOA Journey Forsyth: We travel full time for nursing anesthesia and this is my first experience with a KOA. It was terrible. This place is America’s Anus. It took us some time to book this place because “they don’t take reservations unless it’s a few weeks before.” So we booked it on August 25 for a monthly stay starting on Sept. 10. When we arrived, they took us to the site which was awful. Looked like the site was paved when asphalt was invented and then decided to jack hammer and dig random holes. It was also right next to frontage road where anyone could walk into the campground. Didn’t feel safe for my wife and 2 year old daughter so we asked to move. They were very rude (not to mention this place is a dump... for every RV there are 3 cars along with other trash- playground had caution tape, place was sketchy). So I was like ok, fine... I’ll pay the nightly rate for a better spot. Drive to another spot... also sketchy, unlevel surrounded by another used car parking lot. I’m getting my rig set up and level (which took a while because of how uneven it was), my wife gets a call and they said they’re charging us basically for 2 spots. The other spot for reserving it on the 25th even though we didn’t arrive until the 10th. So they are wanting charge us $829 for 17 days and only wanting to stay for 2 (because it’s sketchy, and we’ll look elsewhere). Then they kicked us out for complaining, and ended up STILL paying $550. For not even staying there. We were not belligerent or threatening. So at 830pm and driving 7 hours to get there, they decided to kick us out with nowhere else planned to stay. We’re both nurses and I was coming in to help on assignment along with my daughter, and they kicked us out because we complained that they were over charging us.
