For Ellis Lakeside City Campground: What a great surprise! Someone took a trainyard by the river and turned it into a small rv park and railroad museum. HUGE sites with giant shady trees, big showers and a great playground a few blocks away at the railraod museum/ballpark. I love sites with no reservation system but get their early as there are only 15 sites and there were Rvs circling the site all night looking for a spot. Poor downtown Eliis was completely empty on a Saturday night so if you stay here please visit one of the restaurants and help them out. Someone said in the early reviews about train and freeway noise? but its no where near the freeway and te train doesnt run anymore except the kid-sized one.

For Ellis Lakeside City Campground: Nice little campground. About 15 spots. Water and electric for $20 a night. Honor system payment. First come first served. Right by the lake. Pull through spots.

Warren G

For Ellis Lakeside City Campground: Great overnight stop just off I-70 on a small lake in Ellis. 17 pull through sites, nice bathroom/shower house, electric and water hookups, dump station. Downtown Ellis is within walking distance, with a couple of restaurants, a railroad museum, and the boyhood home of Walter P. Chrysler. First come basis for a reasonable $20.

For Ellis Lakeside City Campground: Great overnight stop with electric and water for $20. T-Mobile service worked well. Beautiful area along the river. Cute town. I would definitely stop here again.

For Ellis Lakeside City Campground: This may be our new favorite stop over between Kansas City and Denver. Only $20 for electric and water and pull through sites. Cute little place by river. Only thing is it’s first come first serve.

Michigan Mike

For Ellis Lakeside City Campground: This was a convenient place to stop and rest for the night. Cost $20 for the night and had a 30A hookup and water. The shower/restroom areas were clean, an older building and doable. Mexican restaurant at the off ramp was okay, but kids were running the place. We would camp here again as the sites were drive through and although there was a train close by, we slept well. Follow the blue camping signs as our GPS brought us in on the wrong street and on the other side of the river!
