Dan

For Eagles Nest-Fletcher: Planned for two nights but weather required us to extend one day was easy to adjust at office. Spaces were a little small but accommodated our 38 ft fifth wheel with out the truck attached. Due to road work the route in was changed but doable. Staff in office was nice but park needs a little tlc from maintenance. Nocked over grills and leaking hose connection on parks side. Yes I would definitely stay again and recommend it

John

For Eagles Nest-Fletcher: Fletchers Fork was filled with what appeared to be full time residents. One site was occupied by a tent group. The sites themselves appeared to be level and adequate . They are close together . It is a bit of a challenge to drive a big rig in the extra six miles or so to find a first comfort first served campground filled with what appeared to be active duty soldiers . This post should make this a reservation based participation like the air force family camps. But I suppose since it’s army there is an expectation of just having to be a grunt. But why? It’s stupid and I won’t even try another army post. Never had a problem at an air force of navy marine base. Army- every time!! Can’t recommend this camp at all.

Thomas Boggs

For Eagles Nest-Fletcher: The directions to the camp site are confusing in that the drive threw portion is on the other side of the bridge however you can’t go over the bridge you must go around using the road leading to gate 10 than take a left going to the paint ball course. The camp site is not the best it will accommodate the travels for a couple of days. There are facilities but no laundry fac. There are also some very nice cabins. I would stay there again.

Melody

For Eagles Nest-Fletcher: There are 2 camp areas here but no sign for the second one. Eagles Nest is small, sites are small and back in and surrounded by dense trees. Fletchers Fork has all pull thru sites and is more open with no tree impediments. Hookups worked fine. Customer service and signage is lacking. Campground was ok.

For Eagles Nest-Fletcher: Such great potential. Have been staying here for roughly three years, off and on. Maintenance could be stepped up a lot. Grass doesn’t get cut, forget any leaves being blown off the gravel parking spots so you can really see the sites. (At Eagles Rest) No rules enforced. Dogs pooping without being cleaned up after, vehicles hanging out in the driveways so getting through is an obstacle course, people parking on the grass and tearing the sites up. (Fletchers Fork) The place is packed most of the time so hopefully they will begin putting some resources back into the campground and, hopefully, make people follow the basic rules.

Cal

For Eagles Nest-Fletcher: We stay the a lot, location is good for us. But it seems to be run down lately. Stayed in April for a few days. Needs lots of updating. Grass not be mowed very, restroom need fixed up, tree limbs hanging over the RV roads and campsites to the point of hitting the top of the RV roof. There seems to be a number of Active Duty home steadiers there one with a large residential refrigerator outside their RV, abundance of 4 kids toys and clothes and junk being stored in a way that their site looks like a Trailer Park. Several people park blocking the road assess making it difficult to get in or out of a site.. the cabins need work, paint and maintenance done to all of them. The look bad. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

For Eagles Nest-Fletcher: Currently at Fletcher FamCamp at Ft Campbell, KY/TN. The base straddles the KY & TN state lines, but I think it’s officially KY bc the post office in in KY. The campgrounds (Fletcher and Eagle’s Nest) are generally nice. FHU and near the base stables. This is the third time here for us. Winter, early spring and now summer. Clean and generally quiet. There is a pistol range near us and evidently a significant rapid fire assault range up the road too! Thursday evening there was a full on assault/training evolution around 1800. Scared the crap outta us until we figured it out. The FamCamp is off base technically, in that you do not have to enter a gate. You also get about $2 off for having a National Park Pass. There is another camp up the hill, Eagles Nest I think. Not as nice as Fletcher, but Fletcher has no wifi, cell service is not good because you’re in a valley, and laundry is at Eagle’s Nest. Fletcher is an asphalt-pad campground and Eagles Nest is gravel. Laundry room has 4 washers and 4 driers, clean and has a deep sink, carts and folding table. All very clean. It is $1.25 to wash and .75 cents to dry. Fletcher has about 8-10 small cabins to rent too. Small stream runs by Fletcher. Likely a catch and release but not certain. All in all, it’d give them a 7 overall at Fletcher. Mainly because there is no wifi (they told us they were too close to the airstrip for wifi?). Otherwise a good place to stay.
