For Lower Falls - Tahquamenon Falls State Park: We stayed here in July 2023 in a 25 ft Class C. It was the weekend so it was pretty crowded. Walk to the lower falls from the campground. Nice, well marked hiking trails. Not too much privacy, but had a lot of shade from trees. Older bathrooms. We didn’t use the showers. The upper falls had a new large gift shop along with a restaurant, a brewery, food trucks, and more. Would stay here again if in the area.

For Lower Falls - Tahquamenon Falls State Park: We arrived the first week of June and it’s not the campgrounds fault that the mosquitoes were swarming everywhere. We wore long pants and shirts with a wide brimmed hat and big head net to survive. The trail to the lower falls leaves right from the campground and the falls, boardwalks, overlooks and island loop were beautiful The sites had good privacy with lots of big trees. Some sites are more level than others, but we’re able to adjust no problem. We left early because of the skeeters and think it would be better to come back in the fall.

For Lower Falls - Tahquamenon Falls State Park: Great Park, lots of awesome hiking trails right from our campsite. Campground is beautiful, lots of trees and plenty of room for our 34' Class A and Jeep. Site 126 is very private at the end of the loop. It is an older CG and pretty tired. Showers and Toilets are clean, just older. As others have said, the ground at our site and many others have no grass or gravel, just mud from all of the usage and they have had a lot of rain. Roads are paved. First time we've had to use blocks to keep our levelers from sinking into the mud. We had our own power but the 50A plug was installed upside down so we couldn't close the cover because our portable surge protector was sticking straight up into the cover. There is a guy driving around multiple times a day selling Certified Firewood out of his truck which was very convenient! Would stay here again as the price for State CG is great and the area is awesome!

For Lower Falls - Tahquamenon Falls State Park: Narrow roads make it hard with a longer trailer. Bathrooms were clean, rangers were always around cleaning or talking to folks

For Lower Falls - Tahquamenon Falls State Park: Hemlock #152. Beautiful State Park and campground. Nice sites in the woods, water n electric, helpful rangers. Make reservations. Park was almost full in middle of week but never felt crowded. Lots to do in area. We easily could have stayed another couple nights. Check out the Falls Brewery In the park - excellent dinner.

For Lower Falls - Tahquamenon Falls State Park: The falls are fabulous. This campground is also called portage campground, it is at the lower Falls, just a short walk. From the lower Falls to the upper Falls is a 4 mile walk if you do the trail. There are no water hook ups, but you can fill jugs in the campground. The best spots are site 11 and 13 for views of the water. From 13 there is a set of stairs going down to the water. The other sites on the water block the view with trees. There is no cell service or Wi-Fi, but 5 miles to the east on M123 is a cell tower. Paradise is 10 miles to the east where the Berry Patch Café has perhaps the best pancakes and bacon I’ve ever had!
