For Le Fleurs Bluff State Park: This was a nice campground where we found a peaceful overnight. The road into the park referenced in earlier reviews wasn’t that bad. They have attempted to even out the rough spots but we had no trouble with our 25 ft motorhome. This state park is close to many restaurants and shops for any needs you may have. This is a quiet lake quite near to the city but with only occasional aircraft noise that we didn’t find bothersome. Many lots are right on the water and you might ask for such a site if available. We loved the concrete parking pads as we don’t have automatic levelers - we were spot on level! There was good lot spacing at our location of Lot 12. We saw a number of egrets on the lake. There are lots of bare spots - some grass would be nice but I would call this a nice campground and we would stay here again. Each site has a sturdy, fixed place picnic table on a slab, a fire ring and barbecue stand plus a handy hanging pole sturdy enough for about anything you might want to hang. 4 star. Glad we found it. There is a big bathhouse with laundry in the center of each camping area.

For Le Fleurs Bluff State Park: Winter overnight stay. Tons of road noise, airplanes, trains & helicopters. Lights from adjacent businesses from all vantage points. Flat-ish sites. Did not use facilities. Our site had new electric & water posts but they never removed the old ones. I’m sure this is a nice city park with camping but as a SP it’s not worth more than a convenient overnight stay. Nice gatekeeper.

For Le Fleurs Bluff State Park: Stayed at site 40. Water and electric. Sites are on the lake and spaced far apart The restrooms are elevated high because of flooding and are clean. The road coming into the campground is fine. The campground is along the Pearl River and was flooded 2 months prior to our visit but when we were there everything was good. Would stay again.

For Le Fleurs Bluff State Park: Ditto on the last comment. The only reason for four stars is due to the run down look of the campground. The shower houses need a really good cleaning. I would stay again if passing through the area.

For Le Fleurs Bluff State Park: A beautiful, peaceful surprise right in town. A bit of road noise but pretty faint, and once in our camper for the night didn't hear it at all. In addition to being the state capital, Jackson is home to important 1960's Civil Rights sites as well as the home of Eudora Welty (talk about two different worlds). The campground is small but beautiful, plenty of shade and most of the sites are right on the water. No pull-throughs. Our site had FHU (30/50 amp electricity) backed up to the small lagoon and we enjoyed watching fish jump and egrets stalking the fish. The road in is rather potholed, with gravel stretches where the pavement has clearly washed away. The gate staff was very friendly and helpful. You'll need the gate code to get both out as well as in. We didn't use the shower house/bathroom so can't comment on it. It's kind of ideal for an overnight stay, with a bustling town right there and nature to enjoy all in an afternoon. Really enjoyed our short one-night stay.

For Le Fleurs Bluff State Park: Not sure what all the rave is about this park. We found it to be a bit run down. Bathrooms not good. Road not as bad as others have stated. I’ll give it that it is a pretty nice location and only 30ish sites so it gets points for that. But overall two stars, not great.

Second thought. Took a walk after dinner from campground to front gate. Lots of wildlife, still waters, nice people. Campground still does need some refreshing.

For Le Fleurs Bluff State Park: We’ve stayed here 4 times in the last year, as overnight stops on trips to LA and TX from Ala. Very nice little park, great rate with seniors discount. Seems secluded, but town and shops and restaurants are nearby. Last time was June 2021. Bathhouse was open and clean. Only (small) negative is the condition of the road going in, large patches where the pavement has washed away. The park seems to be subject to flooding, was closed for flooding one time I tried to stay. Overall very nice, considering going back for a few days to visit the area.
