For Johnsons Of St Mary Campground and RV Park: We were at this park about 2 weeks ago. Ok we are giving this site two stars for a specific reason, it would have been much less but the staff working at the facility made up for some of the low mark. Some may not mind what occured to us, but we will not be back because of it. First let me say the staff that work at this park were excellent. They were helpful, on top of the things they could control, very polite and respectful. The camp site we were at had a beautiful view of the lake, even through the smoke from the fires around the area. The site itself was a bit of a challenge. The set up for power, water, sewer must have been old. They were set way back at the back of the site, the sewer was elevated very steeply on a hill so you had to be a bit inventive to make sure your hosing was somewhat level. The site itself was not level, but it was an older park and we made due with it. Now for the bad part. The park would have had a three star rating except it apparently sprays herbicide weekly, at least when we were there. We were not warned about this. We found this out the hard way. My wife had the windows in our MH open one day, the wind was blowing in from the side that was open. Suddenly she could smell a strong smell of herbicide coming through the open windows. There was a person spraying herbicide with a high pressure nozzle about 70 feet up wind from us. This person was not spraying directly on the lawn that was covered in weeds, crab grass and such. He was spraying out 20 to 30 feet from himself. He was wearing a respirator mask, was fully clothed, gloves, etc for protection but having no concern for the people in the park. I called the people in the office and they were not aware of the person spraying. Management was called. I went to the office late and was told that management was aware and felt it was not too much of a concern since they said the chemical was safe to walk on in 45 minutes. They had not notified the employees in the park of the spraying. Management did contact the person spraying and asked them to stop. Reportedly the person was spraying where they were not supposed to be. This particular incident was bothering, especially where new arrivals with RVs showed up and parked in the area the person had been spraying an hour earlier. They were walking all over the lawn, sitting on it and spending a significant amount of time outside. We looked up the particular herbicide used that day, and by the way, the person was going to be back the following week to do it all over again, and there was some specific warnings. Apparently the management was not aware of this. So, the employees were awesome, the managagment not so and the person who was spraying for the campground was not careful. Would I recommend this campground, no. Would I go back NO. Oh by the way, the person who was hired to spray was going to spray the day after we left.

For Johnsons Of St Mary Campground and RV Park: Stayed here for four nights while touring Glacier National Park. I was “car camping” in my Jeep in the tent area. Spaces were well spread out and with shrubs & trees positioned to add privacy. Each campsite had picnic table & fire ring. The heated bath house was conveniently located and fairly clean with two stalls, two sinks, two warm air blowers, and two showers. The office provides you with a token for each night you stay which you can use for a six minute hot shower. The water starts off warm, so you really get six minutes of hot water. The sinks also have hot water free. There is a dishwashing station next to the bath house to wash your dishes or access fresh water. Additional water access is available scattered throughout the camp. The office staff was friendly and helpful and had ice, firewood, and propane for sale. A dump site was available. A laundry room with washer & dryer were located next to the office. I have T-Mobile cellular service and had a intermittent connectivity. WiFi was available near the office for guests to use, but I did not try using it. This camp is located in the Blackfeet Indian Reservation and the American Disabilities Act does not apply to them. There is a restaurant on site that I’d heard had good food, but was unable to be served there because of my service dog. It didn’t seem to be a problem in the campsites, only at the restaurant. To be totally fair, it may have been the opinion of one cranky cook who tossed me and my dog out. I spoke with the waitress and she was apologetic for his behavior but not in a position to do anything to help. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay and would stay again if in the area.

For Johnsons Of St Mary Campground and RV Park: Great location with a fantastic view. They have a cafe but we did not get the opportunity to eat there. It was very dry when we were there so the dirt/gravel roads caused a lot of dust. But the view was terrific.

For Johnsons Of St Mary Campground and RV Park: Pretty much a last resort due to no NPS sites at Glacier. Good news was, the staff was very kind and got us in near 9pm. Bad news is, pricey ($52?), not special site (on grass at entrance), no wifi range, and absurdly short shower allotment (6 minutes, with first minute getting up to temp). Bathroom isn’t really clean. I’d say stay if you have to but limit your expectations.

For Johnsons Of St Mary Campground and RV Park: We would stay again...positive and negative: sites not level, sewer pipe diameter threaded but too small, wifi barely works but people are super friendly, restaurant is legendary and live up to the reputation, view is AWESOME and it is right outside Glacier NP

For Johnsons Of St Mary Campground and RV Park: Stay away from here if you can!! The only reason I'm giving this 2 stars is because of the close proximity to St. Mary entrance of Glacier NP (less than 2 minutes away), but other than that, had some serious issues with our experience here. We made reservations for our visit well over 2 months in advance and was told that all their sites were pull throughs. When we arrived, I noticed a grassy area near the office which to me looked like overflow sites with mostly travel trailers and a couple class C's and maybe 1 class A motorhome. We have a 38' class A DP with a tow dolly for reference. On checking in at the office, there were 2 employees - one of which was helping a man ring up his laundry soap and the one who checked us in. The lady helping the man made some small talk with him about how much longer they'd be staying (he was a tent camper) and he mentioned that they will be checking out tomorrow and asked "will you guys miss us being around?" to which the lady replied "yes." The lady helping us check in was giving the man a dirty look the entire time this conversation happened and once the man left, she asked her fellow worker "did he ask if we'll miss them being here?" And then made a comment that she won't miss them at all, because they were "constantly in the office using the wifi." Side note - the wifi is only accessible in and around the proximity of the office, so where else would he be able to use their wifi?? The lady helping us saw that I was paying attention to this exchange and said to me "oh, I don't mean you guys..you can use the wifi as much as you want..." This was the first red flag for me seeing as how they were bad mouthing some of their paying customers in front of other customers! When she showed us where our spot was, it was in the area where I had thought it was "overflow" parking. Those were actual sites where 17 sites were crammed in together! I asked if there was a mistake because we had been told we'd have a pull through for our rig and she said, based on our time there that they only had 30 amp hookups (which was fine) and those sites are the 30 amp sites..they were not pull through sites. We unhooked our tow dolly and took the next hour trying to find a level spot in our site... we never got level at all, even with extra blocks. It was about 15 inch difference from one corner of our rig to another prior to leveling. All of our neighboring campers had the same issue and were under the impression that these were overflow sites and that they were supposed to have a pull through site. On the second night we were there, our rig sank into the ground a couple inches and we had to reposition and try to re-level. Additionally, the bath house was horrendous! Hair was all over the place and they had a bug strip hanging above the sink covered with dead moths and other bugs! The stalls were something out of the 70's and made out of plywood that looked like they've been painted a dozen times. I'd been to more inviting porta-pottys. The showers operated on a "token" system where you had to get tokens from the office. Each token offered 6 minutes of running hot water. The office area was always crowded due to the only place where you could access the wifi. We had just traveled up from the Yellowstone area and paid the same amount of money there at a campground and the amenities were much much better for the price. For the amount of money these guys are asking, you'd think they'd spend a portion of it to update and level their sites, clean up their bathrooms, and hire more friendly staff! If hookups are not an issue, then I'd much rather had spent a night or two at some of the campgrounds in the neighboring Nat'l forest land or within the Nat'l Park if you can fit. Stay away!!

For Johnsons Of St Mary Campground and RV Park: Extremely convenient to the East entrance to Glacier National Park! Stayed 2 nights but spent most of our time in the park. Our site was up on the ridge where it was extremely windy while we were there. Not much of a view for us in the back row of sites but water & electric on site made it more comfortable than staying in the natal park campgrounds. RV dump on site. Wifi works if by the office. Did not use the showers, laundry or restaurant on site.
