For Carlsbad RV Park and Campground: Nice park -all gravel but sites looked pretty level. Park is on south side of town a ways away from restaurants and shopping but the closest RV park to White Sands NP. No broadcast TV, but cable is available wIFI was decent. No TMobile signal and Verizon was weak.

For Carlsbad RV Park and Campground: Amazing RV park, super friendly staff.Pulled in without a reservation, thought we’d stay two nights and go to Carlsbad Caverns. Ended up staying five nights. They gave us site nine…it had a large tree so we had shade and were able to sit outside when not off exploring. The restrooms and large laundry facility were spotless. Time to update their rating to a five star.

For Carlsbad RV Park and Campground: Level spots- nice gravel. Everything worked as expected- good water pressure. Good tv reception. Easy check in and people Working there were very nice. Pool was Closed prob due to covid as well as store being closed. Pretty quiet considering it seemed like there were a lot of oil workers. A little bit pricey at $52 with military discount but we felt safe there. Would stay again if ever this way

For Carlsbad RV Park and Campground: Positives: easy to pull in and out, clean restrooms (although basic and aging) We pulled in on a Sunday and our reservation was waiting for us by the entry. Even though the park was mostly empty and we paid the normal rate ($55/night), we were assigned a spot very far from the slim amenities, near the highway, in a dusty lot. The map and website list a playground, however it is one broken piece of equipment with rotating tire swings. I supervised my 6 and 7 year old on it trying to help them play safely, and they both still ended up hurt and wanted to go home. This park seems to have good potential, but is currently failing to meet it in my opinion.

For Carlsbad RV Park and Campground: Echoing other reviews, decent campgrounds in Carlsbad are very limited. With the boom in oil field workers, new campgrounds (essentially parking lots) seemed to be sprouting up everywhere. Considering this, it’s a 4 star relative to the other options there. One big plus I really liked (especially with kids) is that the faculty has a security gate/entrance that closes at 6pm. The staff is very friendly and the sites aren’t too closely packed. However, don’t expect a luxurious campground. The surrounding terrain is desert, so the campground is all gravel with a few sparse trees. Frankly, it serves its purpose if you want to see the caverns for a day but there isn’t much else to do in town. Plenty of food options in Carlsbad but traffic was pretty bad in the evening with all the workers getting off. The campground shows a playground on its map but it’s really not...it’s an old tire swing. There’s an indoor pool but we didn’t try it out. Most of the tenants seem to be long-term workers but I didn’t notice trashy sites filled with obvious signs of long-term tenants. A minor annoyance, but not really that bad, we’re the workers’s diesel trucks warming up in the early hours as they left for work.

Omar

For Carlsbad RV Park and Campground: Carlsbad is somewhat out of the way and as such RV campgrounds are limited. Add in the ton of oil workers that call the camp/RV grounds home and options become limited fast. With that said the staff here were extremely kind and went out of the their way to help and accommodate us on short notice. Brian, one of the facility guys even help me fix some of our RV issues. This RV park had all of accommodations one could hope for. While it may not have been the most luxurious RV park ever. It more then met our need. Thank you guys.

For Carlsbad RV Park and Campground: If it were possible I would take stars away from the other (misleading) reviews. We tent camped in a sticker patch, had to be the worst spot, even though we were the only tent campers and other sites were available. The stickers were so bad that they were even in carannathe gravel parking area. Our site was situated very close to the highway where heavy truck traffic made sleep impossible. The bathrooms smelled like they had not been cleaned recently. Our price quote wasn’t honored and we paid $38 for one night.
