For Joint Base Lewis McChord: Got here late and someone was in our site! Apparently no one checks to make sure the last resident has vacated. We have a 30 amp rig and these are all 50 amp and as we all know, converters are sometimes not the best option. Camp host was great helping us out with the site but there was no map, no WiFi password, just a piece of paper that said ‘OCCUPIED’. There was some woman here who got right up in my face at 9 pm, out walking her dog while we were trying to get setup. She said she was the camp host, which I later found out she was not. Just not the way I wanted to end a long hard day. On the up side the park is clean and pretty well appointed.

For Joint Base Lewis McChord: Very nice Fam camp. Wooded area, sites are private and laid out nicely. We stayed here and from here explored National Parks, Seattle. Beautiful area to visit. Visited Boeing museum of flight. Would definitely stay here again. 42ft motor home, with a toad.

For Joint Base Lewis McChord: We love this campground! We come up from Arizona to visit family in the area and this location couldn’t be more perfect. Easy to reserve spots and modify reservations if necessary. Lake is beautiful and fun to swim in and other water sports. Sites are woodsy and private. Love the full hookup including sewer. Store has very basic things for sale, mostly fishing and hiking stuff. Only snacks we saw were ice cream bars. We will definitely stay here every year if we can.

For Joint Base Lewis McChord: We’ve stayed here three times. There are a variety of phone numbers for Northwest Adventures, the contractors running the campground. The number listed here is s phone that rings and rings with no message. Another number I have used 253.967.7744 at least you can leave a message. The other number 253.967.8282 is just a busy signal. Maybe we’ll get a call back. I left a message. Yes it is a very nice park.

For Joint Base Lewis McChord: We enjoyed our stay - it feels really woodsy. Wifi in a community spot only, but site 103 can get some of it if sitting outside. Take North gate in, after guard shack take a right, then another. Check-in at MWR/Outdoor Rec facility.

RPM

For Joint Base Lewis McChord: This would or could be a really nice RV park if it was maintained better. Four campers I talked with all had similar comments or complaints about low hanging tree branches on the roads around the park and/or tree and shrubbery branches too close at their site. Campers were cutting or breaking branches to keep from scratching their rigs or to gain parking access. Sites are not clean or maintained between campers. I've stayed in public parks that are better maintained. What a shame to treat the customers and the land this way. I stayed one night in a 43' motorhome which did not fit in the assigned site and yes, I specified the length at the time of booking. The front end was on such a downhill slope that it could not be leveled. MWR management, if you read these reviews, take action! Get a maintenance crew in there now and employ work campers or a camp host that can and will help clean and maintain the roadways and sites.
