Keyword Filter: How can I find just spots with a shower, laundry & dump?
The advanced filter, new in version 4, grabs many of the most common amenities and lets you see only places with all those selected. This creates a accumulated filter. This means that the map will only show places that have ALL that you select, not just some. The more you select, the fewer places will show. You could easily wind up with a empty map. Only select the most important things to you, one at a time. This works better on the iPad since you can see the map change with each touch.
Some amenities are harder to find, forms were incomplete or times change. So this isn't meant to be 100% accurate at all times. Please correct places (update button on each detail view) you visit if you see something wrong or missing.
So if you only really want a shower, laundry and a dump station...
Touch the "Filter" button to bring up the Filter view.
At the top of the "Filter" view, you see a "advanced filter" section.
Tap this section to bring up a list of keywords. Clubs are at the bottom.
** Once again, it is VERY important to note that this list and function is cumulative. **
Then touch the back button "Filter Map" where you'll notice your selections in the top line(s).
Touch the blue "Done" button to get the filtered map. Note that this particular combination can even bring up truck stops with your selections.
Remeber to go back in and clear your filters when done. Note that you can also select types as well. Maybe you only want KOA's or State Parks with your selected keywords.
Or maybe you only want Flying Js with a dump station or propane. The custom options are endless for as much or as little detail as you want. As always, let us know what you want.
