There are 2 possible explanations for why you may not find what you think should be there.
Search parameters too narrow
It's possible that your search parameters are too small or slightly off. Sometimes what seems like a state park may really be a County Park. Or we may just have it in the wrong category. (Correct it by choosing update on the detail view). Try choosing several types.
Our data isn't perfect
We admit it. Sometimes the app is missing locations and details. We are constantly working to improve our data, but in this bad economy, it's a difficult, never-ending task. Places close without notice and weather conditions change for remote places. When going to any remote public lands, it is best to call a ranger station or field office to verify information, especially if you have a RV. Sometimes the maps only point to BLM offices and not the exact campground but we are constantly improving these.
Even though 100% accurate data is an impossible task, it is our goal to never lead you in the wrong direction. If you are just looking for a quick stop for the night and you have a few places to choose from, one wrong location doesn't create a problem in your life.
What does create a problem is if you make a decision to go to one particular place with nothing else around. Maybe it's late at night or the weather is bad. That place needs to be there for you. It is our top priority to make sure this never happens, but unfortunately not even this can be guaranteed. We ask that you contact us and let us know when our data is incorrect. We take this stuff seriously and try to improve our data with every update.
