I have gotten the process down fairly well to never set off the detectors at airports. This is what I do every time I fly.

I was sitting at the Dallas Fort Worth airport when I overhead this conversation right behind me. The woman said she was on stand-by for a flight that left at 10:40. She said she had almost an hour to kill before going the gate. I looked at my watch, which I had already set to [...] Wifi on airplanes is coming. Actually it is already here but it is still limited. When you book your travel, one thing that never really comes up is how much time do you need between flights at your connecting airport. Fly the lighter skies right now and enjoy it while it lasts. If you travel, you have to spend time at the airport. Either you are through security a bit early or your connections allow for some time to wander an airport in another city. It doesn’t have to be a waste of time however. You can be productive or actually have fun. A few things amused me while traveling on US Airways. The airline fees are piling on faster than the pounds from the food at the all you can eat buffet. It’s time to get creative and try to avoid or minimize them. The airlines are going crazy with fees. On the one hand, you can pay less if you don’t use something. On the other hand, it makes it harder to truly compare the fares you find. Airline fees have gotten ridiculous because they are afraid to raise the base price of a ticket. |
