Most hotels nowadays include a spa, but there’s a big difference between that and a spa resort. Hotels cater to many different travelers: business, family, romance, bereavement, etc. Of course, you can probably get a Swedish Massage in these hotels, but it’s more of an after-thought than an intention. Located in Miami’s South Beach, the Setai may appear too trendy to be relaxing, but it’ll surprise you. It’s actually dedicated to restorative practices. The ocean views will amaze you. 5. Lake Austin Spa Resort (Texas)

This spa resort has the distinction of being named #1 destination spa by Conde Nast Traveler. It is located in the capital of Texas, and boasts a huge menu of spa treatments, several of which are sure to please even the pickiest among us.
