Campground Directions:

To North, From Fort Garland (26 mi E of Alamosa), go 2.5 mi E on U.S. 160 to the Forbes/Trinchera Ranch Road, then 2 mi S to Ice House Road, and then 1 mi W to the north side of the lake. Access to the south side is 1 mi S of Ice House Road.

Campground Details:

All Year, All ages, Tents, 8180 ft elev, fish, dispersed, As of July 2020, each person aged 18+ must hold a valid Colorado fishing or hunting license in order to enter any State Wildlife Area (SWA). There are annual, one-day, and five-day fishing licenses for sale (get in advance as they are probably not at the SWA site itself. (C)
